Online stores are great for Agoraphobics, people who have fear or anxiety attacks when in crowded places, like the mall. These people would rather be home, always. I am not agoraphobic, I enjoy shopping at the mall or at other stores. But, I also like to shop from home, because 9 times out of 10, in my experience, you will get a better price online.

If you “want it now”, shopping online delays that gratification, with shipping taking 3-5 days. This gives you time to think about what is coming. That can either be a joyful experience of anticipation, or dread once reality sets in and you look at your bank balance and realize you should not have traveled to eBay or Amazon in the first place.

I find the best deals at Pricewatch.com, for electronics, Amazon and eBay for that and everything else. I wouldn’t buy clothes online. That is a personal experience best taken care of at the mall or someplace where you can try the clothes on for best fit – before you buy.

So, I am going to do a little online window-shopping today. I probably won’t buy anything. Maybe I will find an item at eBay and bid on it. My bids are always conservative and I always get outbid. It must be subliminal. I really don’t want to part with my money, after all.
