I was driving back to work today from lunch at El Toro in University Place.  We decided to take the long way so we could warm up with the heater in the car for a bit longer.  We passed by some city workers on lunch.  I mean really on lunch, it was about noon and this guy was full on barbequing in the back of the TPU truck while his two co-workers waited inside the rig for their burgers.  It was really funny and cute.  I thought “that’s the good ol’ USA for ya!”  It just made me feel good to see these guys doin’ their own thing on their own time like that. 

Then we drove a little further and some other road workers were doing a similar thing with a BBQ grill.  Apparently, there was a tailgater that I was not invited to going on.  I have never seen something like this so I drove back by the first guy and took a picture, he smiled and waved but thanks to the timing on digital cameras you can’t see that in this picture.  If you look real close you can see the tongs in his hand though.  Anyway, I thought this was a funny thing to blog about, happy lunching!!
