Continued from an earlier post…

Week Five of the Moon Pie Diet saw the largest 1-week weight loss amount, a whopping eight [8] pounds. It started with a really bad case of the Mexican Can Dance, trots, or diahrrea [whichever you call it]. I must have had something bad for my evening meal the night before. I was only having chicken at this point, other than the moon pies. I may not have cooked it long enough. In any case, I was sick for 3 days, drinking mostly liquids, I cut back on the Moon Pies and chicken, eating a lot less than in earlier weeks. Eight pounds lighter at the end of the week, and over the stomach distress suffered earlier, I was ready to tackle Week 6 with renewed vigor.

I had joined the gym and was now into a daily routine of 180 minutes of cardio daily, some weight lifting and long walks through the neighborhood when time allowed. I was going to the gym seven days a week and maintaining my Moon Pie diet, pretty much back to the plan I started with. The difference was the added exercise regimen, plus an additional two hours each night of sit-ups, calisthenics and running, which really helped my attitude. I was really enjoying the program.

By the end of Week 12, and on subsequent weigh-ins, I was losing an average of 3 pounds per week, sometimes as many as 5 pounds. The diet was working well. I had energy, did not suffer hunger pangs and was shopping for new clothes that fit the “new ME”.

My youthful appearance was only slightly flawed by a real bad case of adult acne which hit me during Week 10 and is just now clearing up. I consider this a minor issue, since acne is easier to get rid of than 85 pounds of excess weight. Drinking water helped. I was drinking upwards of 16 bottles of water daily and peeing like a racehorse.

The Moon Pie Diet wrapped up at about Week 31. I lost 89 pounds total. This was beyond my goal weight. It gave me a few pounds to play with. I could splurge now and then, go back to the Moon Pie diet and lose the excess pounds.

I can’t reveal all details of the experience, as I am in negotiations with a major publishing house on a book about this fabulous weight loss program. If you want to try the diet and follow it exactly as I did, you’ll want to wait until the book comes out. I will probably appear on the Oprah Winfrey show and all the morning TV/radio shows. I never expected to be as famous as I probably will be after the book comes out, but I don’t think this is the end of my new career as an author. I plan to write a series of books on nutrition. I have an idea for a diet which consists mostly of carrot cake. With such great ideas, I think a reality TV show is in my future.
