Turbo Tax Rocks
This year I used Turbo Tax to do my taxes. It was a breeze and I got a great handle on my refund. I really like the way TurboTax allows you to set up for an instant refund to your bank account. It is so simply I don’t think I will ever use those other tax services again.
One year I used Jackson Hewitt because i really needed my refund money right away. It was so costly, I had to get my refund loaded onto a debit card and then take it out of a cash machine. I found this to be very inconvenient because I needed the bulk of my refund that same day. I stood at a cash machine and basically emptied it out getting multiple withdrawls of $500.00 until I had withdrawn the entire amount. I think I was charged a dollar for each withdrawl too. Not to mention the huge lump sum Jackson Hewitt charged to get the Refund Anticipation Loan.
The year before that I got H&R Block to do my taxes, again because I needed the money right away. They actually made an error and I almost had to pay over $1000.00 back about 2 years later. I was able to get it straightened out and didn’t have to pay.
Turbo Tax walks you through your taxes step by step this way you ensure not to miss anything. I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone that can afford to wait 2 weeks to get their refund. It’s totally worth the money you save when you do your taxes yourself. This year I was in a position to be able to wait for the refund so I was able to save hundreds by using Turbo Tax.
April 15th is the deadline for taxes this year so make sure you get yours in today. I would suggest using Turbo Tax if you haven’t already done your taxes. You can download it online and begin using it right away. Another cool feature is that you can use it for free, you only pay if you actually file through Turbo Tax. This way you can see if you owe or are expecting a refund then you can decide if you want to file for an extension if you need more time, especially if you need to pay or don’t have all of your documents ready yet.
