Are home business reviews a scam? In my experience, you can look at it from a couple difference angles but I’ll let you decide. On the one hand, there are so may gullible, unassuming people entering the home business industry that many are wooed by home business reviews and review sites. Many of these reviews are clearly biased and one sided but the new entrepreneur has no sense of this marketing technique and ends up buying a product or home business opportunity on the recommendation of someone clearly being paid to make the endorsement. Is this a scam?

Yes and no in my opinion. In one way you could call it a scam because the endorsement is coming from someone who is being compensated and this could appear underhanded or disingenuous. On the other hand, when the reviewer has actually used the product or service, found value in it and makes a recommendation based on facts then that’s a completely different story. I look at things for what they are and if a product is being endorsed based on valid claims and true information then I believe it simply helps a consumer make an informed buying decision. Isn’t that the goal of sales anyway? Helping people make decisions in their own best interest.

Home Business Review websites are the current rage in the Internet marketing world and many including myself use them. But, the questions is do the majority of them provide solid information or are they just another self-serving home business scam? Many of the Home Business Review sites provide some valuable content and for the new or seasoned home business owner provide a quick yet informative glimpse into many of the online and home based opportunities available today.

The typical internet home business reviews site will tell you how honest they are, and why everything they’ve done so far has boiled down to just 3 or 4 programs that actually work, and then direct you to join any of the three or four programs their “researchers” have discovered to be the best.

You don’t know if these site owners have researchers or not.
You don’t know if they really did spend hours reviewing home business opportunities. A lot of programs are ineffective after a certain amount of time, especially MLM programs The review site owner that doesn’t ask for your email address is someone you should definitely not listen to.
