We are working on potty training our new Westie Ranger.  He has a pretty rigid schedule but still seems to have a few accidents.  He has mostly learned to maintain his bladder while in the house but still wants to eliminate stool inside instead of outside.  He will go outside but it is more successful while on leash than off.  If he is off leash he seems to get the idea that it’s playtime.  Also, he is taking longer to go than before.  He’s doing a lot more sniffing around and digging at leaves and moss than he is thinking about using the toilet.

Another thing I have noticed this week is he is biting more and chewing on a lot more than just his toys. 
He is a very inquisitive dog.  I’m going to try a new tactic this week and see if I get better results.   I’m going to give him an early morning walk and then a late afternoon walk and see if that calms some of his behavior issues.  I’ll keep you posted on that.  In the meantime, here are some cute pics of Ranger.
