Apple Cider Vinegar and Other Home Remedies
Did you know that Apple Cider Vinegar can cure a lot of what ails us? The list is very long, from bug bites, common rashes acid reflux, sore throat, pH imbalances, cough, and blemishes, the list goes on and on. It’s also good for flea care for dogs and cats. Here are a couple that I found interesting and may use in the future;
-Natural Energy Drink:
2 T. Apple Cider Vinegar in coffee mug in the morning instead of coffee mixed with warm water, sprinkle on some Cayenne pepper for an extra kick.
-2 T. in 16 ounces of filtered or bottled water sipped throughout the day
The latter recipe is for over all cleaning, it just balances you out and cleans you up, helps with digestion, balancing your body’s natural pH and it also can clear up the skin when drank on a daily basis in this manner.
Some other home cures I read about are as follows;
-Souper C-Blast Soup
1 c. Rose Hips
2 T. Honey
1/2 t. Ground Cinnamon
Soak rose hips over nite in 2 qts. of water
Simmer all ingredients (do not boil or you will lose vitamin C properties) for 30 minutes. Be sure to leave the lid on while you are simmering. Remove from heat, allow to cool for 5 minutes or so. Place in a blender and on a medium speed blend all ingredients until smooth. Chill for one hour then serve with a spoonful of yogurt or sour cream.
-Sore Muscle Rub (Similar to Icy Hot)
1oz. almond or sesame seed oil
3-6 drops of oil of cajeput
Mix both together in small container and then rub on affected areas keep out of eyes and other mucus membrane areas id; nose and mouth
-Sunburn Soothing Gel
1 c. white wine vinegar
5 T. Salt
5 T. Plain yogurt
2 T. Aloe Gel (preferrable all natural from the plant itself)
Mix all until smooth and creamy pour into pump style container and put in fridge. Shake before using. Smooth on sunburned areas every 1-2 hours.
-Vomiting Remedy
2 drops peppermint oil1/2 c. cool water
Mix and drink slowly.
-Puffy Eye Technique
12 Chamomile Tea Bags
2 C. Ice Cold Water
Put tea bags in an airtight jar with the ice cold water. Place in fridge until needed. When needed place one tea bag over each eye while laying down and leave on for 10 minutes.
I have also heard that a teaspoon of Flaxseed daily in oatmeal or other morning foods helps to regulate the system and assist your body in eliminating bad fats that it would otherwise tend to store up.
