When totally bored, or just spinning my Internet wheels, searching for entertainment, I will sometimes hit the Wayback Machine. Take a look at the early versions of some of today’s popular websites via www.archive.org   Pictured is ESPN.com from January 1999. One of the stories details the final days of Joe DiMaggio, a current event from this snapshot of the past. Pick a site and spin it in the Wayback Machine. The old logos may not be visible, as some of the graphics were not preserved, but many were. It is interesting to see the development of some of these sites over the months, from their inception up to the current day. When you tire of YouTube, spend a little time at the Archive, and journey into the past. — Duke Stern
