Nothin’ Says Lovin’ Like Something from the Oven
There is a new book that details in 61 pages, recipes made with semen. The author is Fotie Photenhauer. That may be a non de plume, because who would put their real name to such a book. The title is “Natural Harvest - A collection of semen based recipes”
The description of the book: Semen is not only nutritious, but it also has a wonderful texture and amazing cooking properties. Like fine wine and cheeses, the taste of semen is complex and dynamic. Semen is inexpensive to produce and is commonly available in many, if not most, homes and restaurants. Despite all of these positive qualities, semen remains neglected as a food. This book hopes to change that. Once you overcome any initial hesitation, you will be surprised to learn how wonderful semen is in the kitchen. Semen is an exciting ingredient that can give every dish you make an interesting twist.
Twisted is right! Who would come up with such an idea? Fotie Photenhauer, for one. If he ever invites you to dinner at his place, politely decline. This whole thing is actually, from all appearances, a hoax currently circulating the web. A joke that a lot of people are falling for.
The rumor is, the Washington Post reviewed the book, which it found on Amazon.com. Searching Amazon.com, nothing of the sort is found. Show me the Washington Post story. Right, there is none. Some blogs have run with this tripe. I ran across this on BlogTalkRadio, which is where I believe this must have started. Something so outrageous and bordering on pornographic, had to be a rude joke. A joke that grew, became “viral” [ewwww!] and will probably circulate until Snopes gets the story and puts the kabosh on it.
The problem is, many news organizations don’t check out stories thoroughly before broadcasting them or interviewing such “authors” on the air. CNN has been caught with its pants down on a couple occasions [no pun intended], running with a story that turned out to be bogus. When you think about it, the media really can’t be trusted completely. Don’t believe everything you hear from CNN, or at least do a little investigation on your own if the story sounds a little kooky.
OK, you sick twisted freak, you wanna believe there is such a book? Go to Borders and ask for it by name. Let us know what you find.
