We noticed a tree on the side of our house had pulled a section of fence away from the rest of the fence.  Initially we thought maybe we could save the tree.  We weren’t sure of our options so we looked on the internet under tree removal service.  We stumbled upon a company called Art Of Trees.  I gave them a call and Jennifer scheduled a time for us to have an estimate.

They agreed to meet with me at a time that was good for me and when ”Pete” Art Of Trees owner/operator came by he told me something I didn’t know, he said that the span of the limbs of our fir tress was a good indicator of span of the roots.  With that information we determined the best thing to do was to have the tree removed.  The roots were dangerously close to the foundation of our home. 

I scheduled for Art Of Trees to come out the next weekend to have the work done.  Pete also advised me that we may want to have the rest of the fir trees in our yard windsailed.  That is a process of taking some of the limbs down so that during a storm the wind is able to flow more freely through the tree and less likely to cause borken limbs that can damage our home as well as our neighbors.  This should be done every 5 years or so and we have lived in our home for over 10 years and had never had it done so we agreed to have that service performed as well. 

Pete and his crew Kevin and Pedro came as scheduled around 8:45am on Saturday.  They began working right away.  Within 1 hour after arrival the tree threatening our foundation was completely down and they had neatly stacked the wood.

Pete and Pedro climed the trees and cut the hazardous limbs while Kevin drug away the messy debris to their truck and put it through the chipper.  I was impressed at how quickly they were able to tackle our trees. 

Pete would yell “headache” when he dropped the limbs down.  I thought that was funny.  I had to leave before they were finished but Steve my boyfriend was still home.  All the work was done beofre 2:30 according to Steve.  I expected them to be here until dark or dusk at least so I was very pleased to see that they were able to quickly and efficiently get the work accomplished.  They also cleaned up very well.  It was like they were never here.
