Have you ever won a contest, a trophy, money or anything associated with being a “winner”? Not everyone has. You may not easily recall that you have. I thought about it and cannot recall winning much more than a few dollars on a lottery scratch ticket or a magazine story-writing contest when I was very young. No money was involved in the story-writing, only the recognition that can come from having your name in Jack & Jill Magazine. [I've received better service at restaurants because of it].

I have received email notification several times about  the fact that I have won the Nigerian lottery. I don’t recall stopping in at 7-11 to purchase these tickets. I have ignored their requests for my bank account information. Out of a feeling of charity to the poor people of Nigeria, I leave this money to be disbursed among them.
